Migration Barriers

More than 500 years of colonialism as well as climate stress due to industrialisation leads to an increasing number of humans who are rightfully searching a better life for themselves in Europe – and they are confronted with pushbacks and fences.
A natural boundary in the ‘Dreiländereck‘ between France, Switzerland and Germany is the river rhine. In this a region of frontiers the rhine bridges are the focal point of border crossings and border policing. Migratory pressure from global refugees is also materializing on these inner-European frontiers.

Borders as migration barriers, trespassing and illegal immigration are the sounding motifs of this first 3land release.
